S&S Saturday Januray

Hello again!

I’m back this week with a couple more layouts made using my Scraps & Stash kit:

Here are the projects themselves:

Sassy Sophie – I used 3 of the patterned papers, 3 of the wood veneer shapes, 3 buttons, some of the ribbon, and some of the Thickers.

Selfies with my Bestie

Selfies with my Bestie – I used 3 of the patterned papers, 3 wood veneer cameras, some of the washi (pink border), and 3 images using the stamps I pulled to go with this kit.

Two asides: Yes, my best friend and I are too old to go around calling ourselves “besties,” but when the two of us get together, neither one can remember how to act our ages, so I felt the title was appropriate. Secondly, the reds in the photos don’t appear to match. That’s because I didn’t photograph the two pages side by side, trying to get better detail. The pages themselves do, in fact, match. Not sure why that bothers me, but it does. 🙂

And a quick look at what’s left:

Not a lot – and I am thrilled! I need to make a couple of thank you cards, and the colors of this kit being so bright and happy will be perfect for that. And I think I can do one more layout as well. So check back next week to see if I’ve managed to “kill” this kit!

S&S Saturday Januray

Hi all!

I’m back today with a new blog series, Scraps & Stash Saturday. Like most scrapbookers I know, I’ve got more supplies than I know what to do with, and I just keep collecting more! Hey, that’s part of the fun of this hobby, right?

So I wanted  a way to motivate myself (and maybe you too) to use up what I’ve got and make room for all the new goodies I know I’m going to “need.” Since I work best with kits and collection packs, I decided to use that concept as a starting point. Each month I’ll choose an inspiration kit or collection as my basis, then create as many layouts, cards, and other projects as possible. I’ll link up with some challenges along the way, and check in each week to show my progress.

Sound like fun? Let’s jump right in with a kit reveal. This month’s kit is inspired by 3ScrappyBoys’ August 2013 Main Kit.
