Hello again! I hope your Monday is off to a great start, and that you are planning some creative time for yourself this week. If so, you might find this simple idea for a greeting card to be just what you need to spark some creative mojo.
Creating cards is quick and easy when you use bits and pieces from collection kits, such as this one using Basic Grey’s Capture line.
Using this month’s color scheme for inspiration, I pulled this card together in about 20 minutes. The card itself is a horizontal 5 x 7, and the gray and white chevron background paper is from an Amy Tangerine 6 x 6 paper pad. I trimmed one side of it down to 4 3/4, then layered on a 4×6 journaling card from the Capture waterfall pack.
I wanted to hide the title printed on the journaling card, so I used a label diecut and a round piece to cover it. I took the round yellow piece from the Capture 6 x 12 sticker sheet, and again, it had words I needed to hide, so I layered a large label sticker over it strategically, then used foam tape to attach the sentiment sticker. I spelled out “my friend” with the mini alphabet stickers, then added the arrow diecut to finish it.
See? Easy as pie – a quick project to fit into your busy weekday schedule. I’d love to see what YOU create, so be sure to share in the comments or in our Facebook group.
