Hello again, and happy Monday to you! A special welcome to you if you’re here on the Make it Monday blog tour.
I am enjoying a much-needed day off in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and I’m eager to squeeze in some good scrappy time.
Meanwhile, I’d like to share my Monday Mojo project for the week with you. It’s titled “Snow Day,” and it uses the topic prompt for this month – specifically the poem titled “Winter,” which I copied in my own handwriting and used as the journaling for the page.
This layout uses one of my favorite hoarded Fancy Pants lines, Hot Chocolate. It’s at least a few years old, because I remember getting it when I was still a consultant with Memory Works.
I always envisioned using these papers for winter/snow pics, but the truth is, we don’t get a lot of snow in my area of the country. Instead of continuing to wait for the perfect photo op, I decided to make the most of what I have. I cut chunks out of several of my favorite papers from the line, layered them on, then added as many stickers as I could for embellishments. I rather like the results, too!
How about you – are you hoarding something waiting for just the right event or photos to scrap? Could you break some papers down into smaller pieces and use lots of layers to showcase your favorites? I’d love to see! Link me up here or in our Facebook group!
And if you’re here for the Make It Monday blog circle, hop on over to see Beth next, where she’s showing you how to scrap birthday photos quickly and easily.
