Hello again, and happy Monday! Here in northwest Louisiana, it’s finally fall – the temperature has dropped below 70, and the leaves are starting to think about turning. Fall is an elusive season in our area. It can tend to feel like summer right up until the first freeze sometimes, and it seems like we only get a week or two of that cool, crisp “autumness” that makes us want to play outside, carve pumpkins, and sip warm apple cider.
So all that to say, how’s about some Fall inspiration? I’ve combed my Pinterest boards and found some awesome Autumn prompts. Let’s dig in, shall we?
October’s color scheme is from the beautiful In Color Balance website. I love the unexpected blue mixed in with the warmer orange, yellow, and brown tones. I can’t wait to see how these translate into papercrafting projects.
This PageMaps sketch was featured on the Let’s Capture Our Memories blog as their August sketch challenge. I love the different components grouped together in the center of the layout, and can envision both the handmade embellishment and the technique fitting perfectly in this layout.
This adorable handmade embellishment idea comes from the My Creative Scrapbook blog. I love the look of the layered bits and pieces all stitched together. This idea will be so much fun to play around with!
This fun technique idea comes from the Balzer Designs website, where guest poster M. Carmen Sanchez shows you how to create a water-stamped background. You can easily adapt the colors to fit in with the color scheme of the month and create a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind background element for a page or card.
Finally, this month’s topic prompt is for the Halloween-minded. Write a spooky story telling about the most creeped out you’ve ever been. What were the circumstances? Was it all in your head? Or have you truly experienced a brush with the paranormal?
There you have it – a whole month’s worth of inspiration all in one post! Be sure to link me up to your projects based on any or all of the above prompts, and you’ll be entered to win this set of BoBunny Double Dot jewels:
Can’t wait to see what you create! Go mojo!
