Monday Mojo Graphic
Monday Mojo is a weekly series bringing you ideas and inspiration for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects. On the first Monday of each month, I will post a roundup of some of my favorite Pinterest finds. Included will be  a color scheme, page or card sketch, handmade embellishment idea, artsy technique, and topic prompt. Use as many as you like to inspire your month of crafting!

Hey, hey! Happy Groundhog’s Day!

Hey, hey! Happy Groundhog’s Day!

Sorry – couldn’t resist. LOL

Happy Monday to you, and welcome to February’s all-new Mojo prompts! Not surprisingly, this month is centered mainly around a love theme, although I hope you won’t find the prompts predictable. I’d like to think you can put your own spin on things and make some really rockin’ projects using this month’s inspiration. So without further ado, let’s dive in!

1. Color Scheme

Color Scheme

Our love-ly color palette is from a website called The Perfect Palette, and it’s got a little bit of everything. Traditional Valentine’s pink, with accents of coral and orange, a splash of black for some contrast, and how about that gold for accents? Super trendy!

2. Sketch Sketch

This month’s sketch is from the Paper Secrets challenge blog. There’s lots of inspiration here, and not only is their design team amazing, but you’ll find lots more inspiration from other scrappers’ Mr. Linky entries. In the spirit of the month, be sure to leave a little love wherever you visit! 🙂

3. EmbellishmentEmbellishment

What can I tell you? I’m a sucker for a cute little layered embellishment, so that’s exactly what I chose for February’s embellishment prompt. This particular inspiration comes from the Pine is Here blog, and I think you’ll find a lot to love there as well.

4. TechniqueTechnique

February’s artsy technique is from Karen Grunberg – one of my personal favorite artists. These are photos of some smaller pieces she created with paints, inks, stamps, and stencils. I can imagine something like this as a focal point for a card or an embellishment on a scrapbook page. Or, hey, why not create one for the wall?

5. Topic Prompt(s)Topic Prompt

And, finally, this month’s prompts are from the Thistle Dew blog. They’re intended to be used as daily art journal prompts throughout the month of February, but I’m content to just pick and choose. In fact, I’ve got my eye on one or two already. How about you?

I’d love to hear what you think about the prompts for February. Sound off here in the comments, or come on over to our Facebook page and join the conversation!
