Good Monday Morning! I’m going to need a lot of coffee to get me going for this week. And a lot of mojo. Here’s the round-up for this week:
1. Color Scheme
These soft colors seem so appropriate as we transition into Spring (the groundhog was WRONG, I tell you!). Beautiful hues for a layout. Sorry, I’m not sure where this image comes from – if you know, please comment below and tell me so I can credit the source.
I just love the idea of a misted/painted background and loads of layers, and this sketch has it all. It comes from the Sketch Thursdays blog, which is a members-only blog. Totally worth joining!
This technique might work in place of misting in the sketch above – it’s a painter’s tape background technique. The look is subtle and pretty. You can find the tutorial on the Dreaming About Rubber Stamps website.
So much win on this layout! All the embellishments are beautiful, but the one I think would be most interesting and fun to try to duplicate is the wood veneer camera card. Any type of woodgrain background with an icon such as a camera would look cool. It would be easy to create digitally too. This from the Two Peas in a Bucket blog.
Hopefully you’ve found something here that gets your creativity fired up. If you use any of the prompts from this week (or the previous two weeks), link me up to your project(s), and you’ll be entered to win a 6 x 6 paper pad from the Fancy Pants Be.Loved line.
Till next time – go mojo!
