Monday Mojo is a weekly series bringing you ideas and inspiration for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects. On the first Monday of each month, I will post a roundup of some of my favorite Pinterest finds. Included will be a color scheme, page or card sketch, handmade embellishment idea, artsy technique, and topic prompt. Use as many as you like to inspire your month of crafting!
Hello, and welcome to a WHOLE NEW month of Monday Mojo prompts! Wow, can you believe it’s March already? In like a lion, out like a lamb? I don’ tknow about that, but I do know that around here, March is coming in with some awesome inspiration. So let’s get to it, shall we?
1. Color Scheme
March’s color scheme is a fresh, bright one from Design Seeds. The bright greens mixed with shades of navy put me in mind of St. Patty’s Day and the fact that spring is just right around the corner.
This month’s sketch is from Inspired Blueprints, and it will play very well, I think, with this month’s technique.
3. EmbellishmentOur embellishment inspiration comes from the Scrapbook.com gallery, and is a reminder that sometimes the simplest ideas, like layering together several die-cut shapes, can have a big impact on a project.
This month’s technique – creating adorable doodles for your page – comes from Tracy Weinzapfel Studios. As mentioned earlier, I think this technique would fit perfectly into one of the square spaces on March’s sketch.
5. Topic Prompt(s)
And, finally, the prompts for this month are from the Scrap Takeout blog. There’s a prompt for every day of the month, and these would be great to use for a journal or a photo-a-day, not to mention as topics for scrapbook pages.
That’s it for this month. I hope you’ve found some inspiration, and maybe discovered a new website or two. I’d love to see your creations using any of the prompts. Just head on over to our Facebook group and say hi. While you’re there, link us up to your projects, or upload them right into the gallery. See you there!
