Hi again! What’s on your plate this week? For me, it’s TESTING. In all caps. <sigh> Yes, indeed. Tuesday and Wednesday my third graders will be subjected to the second of three rounds of testing. I know they will do great, but I don’t enjoy putting them through their paces like that.
In other news – Monday Mojo news – today we’re creating handmade embellishments using journaling cards and bits and pieces we may have lying around. Fun, huh?
All four of the following tags started as pieces of a Heidi Swapp cut-apart sheet.
This embellishment layers a die-cut piece, stamped, fussy cut flowers and label, and a bit of bling. Perfect for a card, or even a layout.
The next piece mixes a pennant sticker and a couple of stamped fussy-cut shapes with the journal card.
The next piece follows a similar pattern, with layers of die cut pieces, stamped pieces, stickers, and bling. This time, the colors are chosen to pop against the gray background and the items are set slightly off the edge of the journal card.
And the last piece, though similarly assembled, has an entirely different look. I’ve actually already used this one on a layout, but you’ll have to tune into next week’s Scraps & Stash Saturday to peep it. 🙂
I hope I’ve shown you how easy it can be to create your own embellishments from just a few bits and pieces. I’d like to see your creations, too! Come on over to our Facebook group and start sharing today!
