Hello again, and happy April! What’s on tap for you this month? Spring Break? (We should all be so lucky – which I am, being an elementary teacher, but still…) Planting a garden? Whatever your activities, I hope you’ll take some time for yourself to be creative, and it would be lovely if one of these prompts from my carefully curated Pinterest boards inspired you. Let’s get into it!

1. Color Scheme

Color Scheme

This month’s color scheme is, one again, from Design Seeds. Chosen because the colors are so bright and spring-like,and because it plays so well with the technique and embellishment prompts! 🙂

2. Sketch

Sketch

I found this month’s sketch pin linked to a new-to-me blog called Scrappin Around the Block. Lots of eye candy (and tons more sketches!) there, so be sure to check it out!

3. Embellishment Embellishment

This adorable embellishment idea is from the Authentique blog. Although these examples use products from their paper lines, I’m sure they can easily be replicate with other products or even stamps, inks, and die-cuts.

4. Technique

Technique

This month’s technique prompt is actually a FREE class offered at Scrapbook.com. If you’ve never tried online learning before, this would be a great place to start, PLUS you’ll make some really cool artwork in the process.

5. Topic Prompts

Topic Prompts

And, finally, April’s topic prompts are from a blog called Cup of Delight, and there are some really fun ones in this list. For more of the “Five Year Journal” prompts, visit the blog, where you can see several months’ worth. Well, there they are! Five scrappy prompts for the month of April.

I would truly love it if you would share your projects created using any or all of these prompts. Please join me in my Facebook group, where we can talk about scrapbooking all day and all night, and then all over again.

See you there! Cheers, Lisa

  1. I like your Mojo Prompts. I’ve never used a color scheme like this before; but I will give it a chance and post my result. I need as much inspiration as I can get. Thanks for sharing!

I use the color scheme to help pick out patterned papers, then go from there. Sort of a backwards approach, maybe, but a lot of times these days I start with product, then pick the photos to go with it. I’d LOVE to see what you come up with! Be sure to share!
