My fourth graders and I begin the long and arduous journey that is the LEAP test this week. It’s a week of stress, drudgery, and angst, and I dread it every year. This year is different, however. This year, while I know the week will be a long one for the kiddos, I know that we have prepared as well as we can, and the rest is in God’s hands. I’m confident in my little sweeties, and I hope I’ve instilled in them a sense of pride and accomplishment. We shall see.
So, who needs mojo? With a week like I’ve got, I know I sure do! I’ve scoured my Pinterest boards once again to highlight some lovely inspiration, and in the process, I’ve found some great new blogs to follow. Tons of great ideas – let’s get started!
1. Color Scheme
Be still my heart. This luscious color scheme comes from the Two Live Colorfully blog. These colors together just SING Spring and Easter, don’t you think?
I get a lot of compliments on my double-page spreads, so I thought I’d throw in a double-page sketch this week. It comes from Inspired to Scrap blog, which seems like another fun place to hang out.
This has got to be one of the most adorable paper flowers I’ve ever seen, and I want to make a ton of them! In fact, I’m going to stop at the ole Walls Mart tomorrow after school and get a roll of crepe paper just to play. The tutorial for making it can be found at the Life Made Creations blog.
A scrapping friend told me about the Documented Life Project, and I am so intrigued. I want to try it out, and probably will devote at least part of my summer to creating a planner similar to the ones featured on the artists’ blogs. This technique is from the blog of Lorraine Bell. The playfulness of it is right up my alley!
5. Bonus – Topics
This came across my Pinterest feed this past week, and I thought it was too good not to repin. Thus, it was also too good not to share! It’s from the Daily Digi, and it’s just a giant list of a whole bunch of topics to scrap. Fun, right?
So that does it for me for this Monday Mojo. Link me up to any projects you create with any of this month’s prompts, and you’ll be entered to win a scrappy prize from me!
