January Scraps & Stash Kit

Hello again, and Happy New Year! I hope you’ve had a safe and joyous holiday season and that you are rested and ready for the year to come.

I’m excited to be getting back to Scraps & Stash Saturday for 2015. Last year saw 9 kits assembled and countless projects completed, and I can’t wait to see what this year of projects is going to look like.

I’d like to invite you to come along on this journey too, and share your kit creating process (if you have one), as well as your projects created from your own scraps and stash.

To do so, simply check here on the blog or watch the kit reveal video on YouTube on the first Saturday of every month. Then, use the kit to inspire your own choices (or not – if you’ve got another source of inspiration, use it!) and pull together a kit of your own. Share your kit in our brand-new-for-2015 Facebook Group, then start creating! Share your work with the group as well. Let’s have fun supporting each other and putting a dent in our stashes this year, what do you say?

So, let’s get on with this month’s kit.

The Inspiration

Honestly, this kit was inspired entirely by a deal offered on ScrapbookSteals.com. They offered an entire kit of October Afternoon Daily Flash the week before Christmas, so I thought I’d help Santa out and picked one up. I’d had my eye on this line for some time, but had not had the chance to get my hands on it. When it was offered as a steal, it was as though I was meant to have it. I love the motifs and the colors are so fun together. And, I even waited till Christmas to open it.  🙂

The Kit

Here’s what I’ve assembled from my stash:

6 sheets of solid cardstock
6 sheets of 12×12 double-sided patterned paper
6 sheets of 6×8 double-sided paper
2 sheets of stickers
2 packages of die-cuts
1 package of journaling cards
1 package of flair buttons
1 roll of washi tape
3 Close to My Heart Inks: Cranberry, Crystal Blue, and Sunset
2 Technique Tuesday stamp sets

The Projects

I project (ha ha, get it?) that I’ll be able to make about 8 layouts using this kit. Maybe more. I’m shooting for two a week, which seems manageable for my schedule. And, as always, I’ll be back to share my progress right here next Saturday.

Meanwhile, be sure to hop over and join the Facebook group. I can’t wait to see your Scraps & Stash kit!
