Hello, and welcome to the third week of January’s Scraps & Stash series! It’s been another extremely busy week for me, so it’s actually no small feat that I managed to scrap an actual layout at all this week!
At this point, I’m beginning to struggle a little with the limitations of the kit I’ve put together. The colors of the papers I have left are beginning to feel a bit disjointed, and the embellishments are getting harder to choose and incorporate. Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love the October Afternoon products – I’m just wishing I’d pulled in a few more things to give myself more variety.
Still, I have to say, I’m actually kind of loving this layout. While I love sketches, I seem to enjoy the process so much more when I go “free range.” What a difference a year makes!
Details: The orange and white photo mat is one of the 6 x 8 patterned paper sheets from the pack. The gray and white chevron is a scrap leftover from the two previous layouts. The red, round “our family” and the “Love this” sentiment are stamped, then fussy cut. Everything else comes from the journaling cards and die cuts packets.
So that’s it for this week. Are you working through your stash at the moment? I’d love for you to join my Facebook group and share your thoughts and even your layouts, if you’re so inclined. So come on over today!
