Welcome back for another week of Scraps & Stash Saturday! This week I’ve got two layouts to share with you – one double page spread, and one single. Let’s take a look:
The first page uses yellow patterned paper from Studio Calico’s Snippets line, with some tone-on-tone red and gray and white chevron layered in. The layout is photo-heavy, so the embellishing is minimal – trying to strike a balance, you know? I added a few small things, like chipboard stickers and an epoxy brad, and my favorite element: a piece of a cut apart sheet that says “Throwback.” Perfect for the theme of my page! (Yes, that’s a really weird photo of me, but it’s the one one I have, and I really needed something to fill up that space!)
The second layout is this single page titled “Graduation 2013.” I used a very feminine-looking piece of My Mind’s Eye lined paper for the background. Since the subject of my page is my son, I needed to do a little bit of scrappy prestidigitation on it. I layered pieces of patterned paper over the swirly girly parts and decorated around the area with wood veneer and cork pieces. A chalkboard label sticker and a few Snippits stickers finished it off.
Unfortunately, I forgot to get a shot of my kit leftovers after this round of scrapping. Fortunately, I’m retreating this weekend, so I’ll have lots of time to play with the kit AND to get a photo of the leftovers once I’m done. 🙂
As always, I’d love to see what you’re doing with your scraps and stash. Please share by leaving a comment and a link to your blog or gallery.
See you next week!
