First up is “Grad Night,” a layout showing off photos of my son and my niece on the night of their high school graduation ceremony. I layered gray-and-white and yellow-and-white patterned papers over the woodgrain background, taking color cues from the photos themselves. A chalkboard sticker and black and white round phrase element and Thickers emphasize the theme of the page.
Next is “My Boy & Me,” a layout showing off my son and me on the day of his graduation party. I layered a solid cardstock block over the busier patterned paper to create a place for the eye to rest, and so the photo wouldn’t get lost in the bold pattern. A few strips of patterned paper, some stickers, and a brad complete the layout.
And the last layout for this week is called “Thankful for this guy.” I started with a solid gray cardstock background and layered simple, tone-on-tone papers with pops of red and yellow here and there. The chevron element in the lower right corner is actually as stamped image, and the rest of the embellishments consist of a label sticker, an epoxy brad, and Thickers.
And here is what remains of my kit. Although I know I’ve used a lot, it still looks almost like I haven’t even made a dent! I still have lots of supplies to carry me into this final week and possibly into other months’ kits as well.
Be sure to check out the video below for more details, and while you’re there, be sure to like, comment, subscribe, and/or share! I would really love to hear from you.
Till next week, cheers!
