Hello, and welcome to a brand new month of Scraps & Stash Saturday! I’m so inspired by this month’s kit, and I hope you will be too. I’d love to have you play along in February by pulling together a kit of your own. Share your photos in the Facebook group, then start creating and share your work with the group as well! We’re all there to support each other and use up our stash, and it just wouldn’t be the same without you!
So, what’s in store for February?
I checked out one of my favorite stash-busting sites, Counterfeit Kit Challenge, and saw that they were modeling their February kit after a travel-themed one from Scrapbook.com, so I thought I’d give it a whirl too. My kit looks similar to the inspiration kit in some ways, but very different in others. For example, I chose a roll of gold striped washi tape inspired by the gold in the SB.com kit. I also picked a sheet of map-patterned paper, some tiny type alphabet stickers (my favorite!), some flair buttons, and some bling. But my color scheme is very different from the original kit, and the patterned papers aren’t quite as literally travel-themed.
Here’s what I’ve assembled from my stash:
6 sheets of 12×12 double-sided patterned paper
6 sheets of 12×12 single-sided paper
3 sheets of leftover stickers
1 packages of SN@P label stickers
1 package of Project Life journaling cards
1 package of flair buttons
1 roll of washi tape
1 card of brads, buttons, and twine
1 package of wood veneers from Close to My Heart
1 partially-used sheet of bling star stickers
1 package of sheer die-cut photo frames
I expect to get at least 2 double-page spreads, plus about 4 single pages out of this kit. There is potential for more, and I reserve the right to add neutral or solid-color cardstock to stretch the kit if the inspiration strikes. I’ll be back next week to share the first of those projects here.
Meanwhile, why not pop over to the Facebook group and show us what you’ve come up with? Can’t wait to see YOUR February Scraps & Stash kit!
