This week’s Scraps and Stash Saturday is coming to you from lovely Camp Harris in North Louisiana, where I am retreating with nine of my best scrapping buddies. It’s times like this when I appreciate my stash kits all the more, because when I got to the retreat last night I was able to sit right down, select a few sheets of paper from my kit, pick out a few photos, and I was off to the races!
In just a couple hours I put together a double-page spread about Easter at my sister’s house a few years ago, as well as a single page that may serve as either the title page or ending page in my Wyoming-vacation-album-in-progress.
This spread uses two of the background papers I chose, one whole 12 inch scrap, and most of a 12 x 12 patterned paper. I sprinkled in some of the Basic Grey stickers for embellishments, and stamped on a snippet of grid paper to create the journaling block. Added in a title made with Thickers and some of my all-time favorite Easter photos, and I had an easy breezy layout that I love.
Next up is this single page showing off some of the many gorgeous photos we got of the Tetons and Yellowstone. For this page, I used one of the texture background papers I scored in a stack from Hobby Lobby a while back. I cut into the striped paper and the green hexagon paper, and trimmed out a couple of blocks from the Heidi Swapp cut-apart paper. A few Basic Grey stickers round it out.
So that’s what I’ve made so far with my April kit. How about you? Are you kitting? Are you scrapping? I’d love to see what you’ve been up to! Share here in the comments, or post in our Facebook group.
Till next time!
