March 2015 Scraps & Stash Kit
Hello again, and welcome a whole new month of Scraps & Stash Saturday! Today I’m back to share with you my product picks for this month’s Scraps & Stash kit, and I want to encourage you to play along by assembling your own kit. If you do, be sure to share your photos in the Facebook group, then start creating and share your work with the group as well! We’re all there to support each other and use up our stash, and it just wouldn’t be the same without you!

Let’s take a look at March’s kit.

The Inspiration

Okay, okay. So maybe I have a bit of a problem. For the second time this year, my kit is based on a little bit of new stash that I recently acquired. I just couldn’t resist the Simple Stories SN@P planner accessories from ScrapbookSteals.com, and I picked up a few things. When they arrived, I was even more excited seeing them in person, and I just couldn’t wait to start playing. So I built a kit around the colors and mood of the goodies I got. Hey, if loving deals is wrong, I don’t want to be right!

The Kit

Here’s what I’ve assembled from my stash:

11 sheets of 12×12 double-sided patterned paper
4 sheets of 12×12 single-sided paper
1 package of three 6 x 8 SN@P pockets/envelopes
1 package of SN@P alphabet stickers
1 package of SN@P washi paper tape
1 package of SN@P paper clips
1 package of flair buttons
3 3×4 journal cards
1 package of journal cards
1 card of epoxy brads
2 sheets of cork stickers
1 package of flair buttons

The Projects

I’ve put a lot of patterned paper into this kit, with several doubles for 2 page spreads. I think I can get 3 or 4 double page spreads and maybe as many single pages out of the kit, depending on what photos and time I have available. As always, I reserve the right to add neutral or solid-color cardstock or scraps to stretch the kit if the inspiration strikes. I’ll be back next week to share the first of the projects here.

Meanwhile, why not pop over to the Facebook group and show us what you’ve come up with? Can’t wait to see YOUR March Scraps & Stash kit!

It’s that time again! The first Saturday of the month, and a new Scraps & Stash kit reveal.

This month’s kit is one built around a theme, and that theme is, of course, Christmas. I’d really like to make a dent in my backlog of holiday photos, and goodness knows I’ve got more than enough Christmas stash! I’d like to create a layout a day this month like I did during LOAD514, so hopefully I’ll be putting it all to good use.

So here’s a peek at what I’ll be working with:

This kit has 37 sheets of patterned paper, 8 sticker sheets, 3 types of trim, and a partridge in a pear tree. Or pack of brads. I didn’t pull any solid cardstock, because I’m thinking I’ll use several of the “B” sides of my patterns as backgrounds for the layouts. I chose a mix of traditional and nontraditional Christmas colors, and I’m using two lines that I really love – Crate Paper “Sleigh Ride” and Carta Bella “Merry and Bright.” Hopefully having such fun goodies to play with will keep me from getting bored scrapping basically the same photos repeatedly (from different years, of course).

So how about you? Want to play along? If you create a Christmas Scraps & Stash kit of your own and link your projects here on the blog, you’ll be entered to win some scrappy Christmas prizes. Keep an eye out for future posts revealing those – you never know when they may pop up, so stay tuned. Can’t wait to see what you create!

Cheers,
Lisa
